Description Oil on canvas of an exotic port scene. A narrow inlet is surrounded by sailing vessels and smaller boats. A large stone structure with a tower stands on the left side of the scene; on the right is a large cliff with protruding trees. Groups of people work near the water in the foreground. In the background are mountains and billowy clouds. Framed in original gilt frame with carved and pierced acanthus leaf decoration. Mounted on original stretchers.
