Description Cast iron Franklin-type fireframe. Flat top with with two round brass finials on the front corners. Top rail has two circular brass fittings and a horizontal convex molding with raised leaves; foliate molding continues across front of frame and sides. Two ellipses with foliate decoration inside on back of fireplace, on deflector plate, and on side plates. Fluted engaged columns with acanthus leaf capitals and bases support top rail of front frame. Flat fire frame support is curved on the front and projects beyond the rectangular upper frame. Supported on hairy paw feet.
