Description A: H/56 3/4”; W/13 1/4”; B: H/30 1/2”, W/15 1/2”. A: Dress. Gray-green taffeta. Low standing collar of gray silk brocade. Fitted 3/4 sleeves w/ruched cuffs, with band of gray brocade on back side of cuff. Front closure with 13 celluloid buttons. Gathered band of gray brocade at hipline. Below, horizontally ruched skirt with pleated hem over row of dark green velvet. In back, skirt gathered into bustle with gray brocade. B: Jacket. Fallen dark green velvet collar with stepped lapel which extends part way down back. Front closure with 6 brass hooks & thread eyes. Exterior closure with 3 large dark green velvet & gray-green silk taffeta bows. Fillted silk taffeta 3/4 length sleeves with velvet trim on inside seam at wrist extending to elbow on inside of sleeve. Flares out at waist with slight tail in back. Back with vertical seams. Corners of outer seam pulled back & tacked showing velvet lining. Most seams piped with velvet on taffeta and taffeta on velvet. Lined with brown wool. Sleeves lined with tan glazed coton. Machine and hand sewn.
