Description 54” (shoulder to hem); 17” (sleeves). Gown and matching petticoat of dark green silk brocade with woven floral pattern in gold, cream, pink, mauve, light and dark blues. Dress in two pieces - underskirt with plain brown cotton back panel & overdress with short fitted sleeved bodice and attached overskirt. Lace inset at sleeves with tied thread tassels fringe, probably added later date. Square neck, hooks & eye. Stomacher matches dress. Inside of dress lined with off-white linen. Gown with textile woven in 16” widths. Fragments included with dress - 1. Purse (not original); 2. material remnant; 3. Piece of fringe.
