Description Striped silk with solid blue satin stripes alternating with red & white geometric stripes. Striping on diagonal on bodice & sleeves, vertical on skirt. V-neckline with no collar. Back closure with 13 hooks (1 black, 1 silvery, rest brass) & eyes (3 silvery, 1 black, rest brass). Dropped shoulders with banding at top to control upper sleeves. Long, narrow capped sleeves with 2 tucks at cuffs. Cap edged with 2 tucks & 3 blue silk covered buttons. Sleeves lined with glazed cotton. Bodice waist pointed in front. Bodice with vertical tucks gathered at center waist & extend to shoulders. Bodice lined with tan cotton. 1 stay at center. Bossom heavily padded. Skirt sewn directly to bodice on linen tape. Skirt gathered all around. 1 flounce edged with undulating blue, brown, & white silk cord 32.5cm above hem. Inner hem lined with tan cotton. Hand sewn. Piped seams.
