Object Name Tub, Butter

Description Pearlware butter tub with sanded decoration. Arched top with flattened knop; bottom with straight sides and flared footrim. Decorated with bands of blue slip around lid knop and rim, on shoulders and around footrim. Between slip bands are areas of sanded decoration with bits of cream, buff, and blue clay. Three stilt marks on top and bottom.
