Description 23 x 16” Silk, linen, metallic thread, spangles, and brass buttons. Man’s waistcoat or vest having a fancy silk front of patterned purple and white stripes, the patterns in each stripe enhanced with silk and metallic thread embroidery and spangles. The standing collar is 2 1/2” at its highest point in the back; brass buttons form the front closure. The width of the front is completed with plain woven linen; the same fabric is used for the back and lining. The back features two sewn straps each with 5 bound holes for size adjustment. Metallic braid outlines the entire front and the two front pockets.
