Description Sampler by Abigail B. Bragdon (1/5/1820-1893), includes alphabet in script, upper case block letters, upper case capital letters, and lower case alphabet. Also includes a list of twenty-four states with dates of their initial settlement. Border is colonial blue, tan, off-white and lettering is in black. Verse: "Religion should our thoughts engage/ amidst our youthful bloom/ twill fit us for declining age/ and for the awful tomb"
