Description Coat of arms, drawn by hand in standard format including armored head facing left with pillow above, shield divided into three sections which depict a ship under sail flying an American flag at the top and rampant lion and two crossed anchors below. A tulip and a rose, presumably signifying the Wendell's heritage (Dutch and English) appear outside the shield along with typical foliage. Three panels with motto "Nec/ As[ ]era/ [ ]errent" appear below the shield.
