Object Name Chair, Rocking
Date c. 1820
Description A small painted rocking chair. 32 x 15 1/2 x 23 1/2 , c. 1820. The rocker is painted golden yellow with a black border. There is a pair of conch shells on crest rail, which is indicative of Boston makers. There is also a yellow, a red and several green leaves painted on the splat. The bottom of front legs are detailed with green, red, and black stripes. Black trim painted on spindles. The seat is painted brown to appear like a lattice.
