Object Name Gown

Description .3: H/24 1/2”; W/18 1/2”. gray silk taffeta dress with cotton over-blouse.
.1 - Skirt: Gray silk lined with beige cotton. Hem reinforced with grey wool. .2 - Jacket: Gray silk lined with black and blue velvet trim, stand-up collar. Painted back and front. Beige silk inset lined with white cotton. Brass hook and eye closures. .3 - Bodice: Gray silk taffeta with beige cotton lining. High rounded neckline with no collar. Front closure with 8 black and blue braid covered buttons as well as 9 steel eyes - no hooks. Long fitted curved sleeves. Straight waist-originally sewn onto either skirt or waistband. Originally had trim as .2 - but now entirely removed. Extremely poor condition overall.
.4 - Overshirt - cotton, gray/rose/blue/white/brown geometric pattern edged in solid blue - moern machine stitching on this piece.
