Object Name Dress

Description Printed cotton with off-white ground & light green rectangles surrounded by tan stepped lines & tan scrolls. Round neckline with V-shaped gathers on bodice extending from shoulder to chest. Front opening with 9 plus 2 brass hooks & fabric eyes with closure on left. Sloping shoulders & original gigot (imbecile) sleeves tucked at top to control them. Tucks at cuff with 3 black wire hooks & thread eyes. Natural straight band at waist, Skirt tightly gathered under band. No trim on skirt. Hand sewn. Piped seams, double piping on bodice.
