Description 27 1/8 x 21 1/2 x 17 3/4, Maple or birch, pine. Top is hinged to lift up, with false drawer fronts as part of construction. Inlaid band on front and side panels, veneered front false drawer fronts with round pulls decorated with wave-like ornamentation. False doors above apron slightly askew over drop panel front. Inlaid band around bottom apron. French feet. Post and bail pulls on sides of chair. Inside chair is a commode seat, and wood has been replaced toward base of piece, hinged so chamber pot can be removed. (This was done at later date) Lock at base of door is recent, with older eyehook toward center of door (no hook).
