Description Off-white ground with blue pinstripes and polychrome floral sprig embroidery in rust/red, pink, green, brown, and off-white. 2 piece bodice with skirt and sleeves with overskirt with train. Period lace around square neckline. Red velvet ribbon bows at sleeves and bodice, crossing over chest. Front closure with 8 silvery metal hooks & eyes on both sides of chest. full sleeves with late 19th lace. Ruffles down front edge of overskirt and one at bottom of underskirt. Skirt with pinked hemline. Dress lined with off-white linen. Poorly hand sewn. Dress remade with hooks & eyes to attach bodice to 2nd layer, underarms reinforced. Included are fragments: 1. Long sleeve, 2. Extra ruffle, 2. purse (not original), 4. 2 velvet ribbons.
